Artificial Intelligence (AI) is the driving force which will change humanity once and for all by helping people and businesses create exciting, innovative products and services, drive critical decisions and achieve key goals. Because of this, companies are currently investing heavily in AI and other ancillary emerging technologies.
If one takes a look at the local market, one realises that we’re already in the middle of this revolution. As at today, we estimate that there’s a shortage of hundreds of ICT professionals locally. But this is not just a local phenomena, in Europe, there is currently a shortage of around 1 million people. This shortage only focuses on the ICT industry, when one considers the supporting industries, this shortage rises up to around 4 million professionals.
It is estimated that in the coming decade, around 13.6 million jobs are going to be created in the AI field globally. However, when one considers that there are fewer than 10,000 people in the world that have the skill set to conduct important AI research, it is very important to jump on the bandwagon and start preparing for the upcoming AI revolution.
