The 20th European Corporate Governance Conference endorsed by the MinistryforFinance is organised by the Institute of Directors - Malta (IoD) with The European Voice of Directors (ecoDa) and Paragon Europe as partners and is organised under the auspices of the Malta Presidency of the Council of the European Union. The overall theme of the conference is “Innovation and Digitalisation in Company Law" and their impact on the wider corporate governance debate. The conference will take place on Thursday, May 4, 2017, in St Julian’s, Malta.
This Conference will bring together decision makers from the public and private sector to discuss recent changes in corporate governance in the global context in relation to capital markets transparency, ongoing improvements, and the digitalization processes of the governance as an advantage across the European Union. The programme will include both plenary presentations and panel debates around recent developments in the field of corporate governance at an international level, emerging trends and innovations in the use of digitalisation as well as topical issues for investors, Boards and audit committees.
Speakers will include high-level representatives from the Maltese Government, the OECD and the European Commission as well as investors, Board members, audit committee chairs, regulators and other individuals from the private and public sectors. The Conference will be followed by a networking reception for all speakers and participants.
